Happy New Year! Welcome 2025!

 




2024.

I worked with some amazing people at the American Heart Association photographing the Lowcountry Heart Walk earlier this year, and added Isle of Palms to my business licenses, along with the one I have for Goose Creek. I started a new website that is still under construction, but will focus on South Carolina (with sprinkles of New York, Florida, and other wanderlust of course!) 

Other than that, I haven't done much with my photography business this past year because honestly, I didn't want to do much of anything with life. 

This has been an incredibly hard year. Unimaginable losses among family and friends, yet another miscarriage, surgeries, sickness, cherished friendships that changed in ways that make me sad, watching my friends go through it and hurt in their own ways.

So much heartache, but at the end of the day, I know these are catalysts for something incredible on the way.


2025.

So much to look forward to! I am working with the American Heart Association again this year on some very exciting projects, including the Heart Walk again! I am photographing what is going to be a very happy day this summer as my beautiful cousin gets married to someone who fits in the family perfectly before they go off and have a beautiful ceremony in Iceland; Just the two of them.

I am continuing to work on my website, and update as much as possible as quickly as possible, so that I can focus on sessions and meeting a whole new group of wonderful people here in the Lowcountry.

With every new year comes new challenges and triumphs. This year will be no different.

I look forward to meeting you and working with you (hopefully for years to come!)

Missing Family

Moving to a new state is so hard. I don't regret it because a lot has been accomplished here, but it does make keeping in contact hard. We are all busy with a lot going on in our lives, so keeping up with people can be difficult at times.  This year, as I focus more on my photography goals, I will also be focusing on family.  I get to see my mom soon! I also get to hang out with my aunt and cousin, which is really exciting because it has been years since all of us have been under the same roof. Another cousin of mine is getting married this year, and I am honored to have been asked to capture her day. I hope to surprise my nephews that same trip! It is hard being away from them and not seeing them grow up. I feel guilty as an aunt that I am so far away, and don't know them well. That is another thing I will be working on this year - being a bigger part of their lives, even from far away.  I miss my Mama and Papa. I have the best grandparents, and they are and always have ...

Lowcountry Heart Walk at 8 O'clock

This coming Saturday, February 22nd, is the annual Lowcountry Heart Walk held by the American Heart Association.  I am excited and proud to say that I have been invited back this year to take more photos of the day and the beautiful survivors and community of supporters.  It is a celebration of life, and I hope to be part of it for many years to come.  "The Heart Walk is the American Heart Association's premiere event for raising funds to save lives from this country's No. 1 and No. 5 killers - heart disease and stroke. Designed to promote physical activity and heart-healthy living, the Heart Walk creates an environment that's fun and rewarding for the entire family." - American Heart Association Website This year's Lowcountry Heart Walk will be at the The Joe (RiverDogs Stadium) at 360 Fishburne Street, Charleston, SC 29403; the same location as last year.
